
Tim Wilson
MCIPR
Tim Wilson has spent over 18 years tackling a variety of issues in public affairs and communications roles.

Until
March 2005 he was Director of Policy at TV and film
production trade association Pact, which
successfully
amended the Communications Bill to protect intellectual
property rights. He also lobbied on the
BBC Charter,
Ofcom
Public Service Broadcasting Review, and had a lead role
in at
EU level, via pan-European
organisation
CEPI.
Formerly a senior consultant at top consultancy
Westminster Strategy, his clients included Microsoft UK;
Eutelsat; Newspaper Publishers Association;
Lincolnshire County Council; Heating and Ventilation
Contractors Association (HVCA); Roche Pharmaceuticals and a
variety of other businesses, NGOs and
government
bodies.
Previously he was at cutting edge consultancy Political
Context.
Tim began his career with Citizen Action in 1988,
which ran successful
campaigns on: lead-free petrol;
tightening
the law on
tobacco sales; and freedom of information.
Tim regularly advises small NGOs via the Media Trust, and is a Trustee of Connections Communications Centre, the London-based charity which provides media training to young people from a wide range of backgrounds.
He is a full Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, the professional association for communications consultants.

Administration and Regulatory Reform

several Parliamentary IT policy groups and the joint
committee for the draft Communications Bill.
He
helped define remits

20 years in IT systems analysis and
management.

John
went from working with the BBC and Scottish Television
